We are the West Covina Dukes Baseball Club, in the traveling Sandy Koufax Division of the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC).  Our baseball program for 13 & 14 year old boys, from throughout the San Gabriel Valley, play in the Los Angeles County Sandy Koufax League, with Maverick Park our home.

We teach good baseball, insist on good grades and try to instill the self-disciplines required to produce good young men with self-confidence and character.  In fact, we think of ourselves as a Triple A farm team for high school baseball and strive for excellence.  In pursuit of that, our agenda is ambitious: we host several tournaments at Maverick Park, like the Memorial weekend Best of the West; we travel to one tournament a year like Omaha, Nebraska in 1995 and Battle Creek, Michigan in 1996; and we always have designs to finish in a World Series.

Most recently, the West Covina Dukes won the 1998 Sandy Koufax World series, in Jersey City, New Jersey; and won the 1997 Continental Amateur Baseball Association World Series in Columbus, Ohio and, again, we have designs on another classic this August.  Our motto is: "We throw leather, play under control, support teammates, challenge opponents and get down in the dirt.... Dukes Baseball."   Our program develops fine student / athletes, who excel in the classroom and on the field.  The results of hitting the books first, then hitting baseballs, has prepared 24 of our graduates for college baseball and 5 are playing professional baseball....   What goes around, comes around.....  quality, it's a beautiful thing.
